Who are we?
We are a lively club and pride ourselves on being extremely inclusive and welcoming. We are also a sociable club and have a dedicated Social Officer who organises various activities for the club – previous activities include summer BBQs, bowling competitions, water parks, virtual darts etc.
Teams & matches
We currently have 3 teams across both divisions of the local Cambridge Korfball League.
The season consists of playing in the winter league which is played indoors in Cambridgeshire, and then in the summer, we have opportunities to attend outdoor tournaments to play a variety of teams outside of Cambridge, or to travel abroad for tournaments.
We train all year round, on a Monday (except bank holidays) from 7.15pm @ Cambridge Regional College (CRC) located just outside of Cambridge City Centre (close to the A14 motorway). Matches take place in various locations around Cambridgeshire, however for those who don’t own a car…do not worry! You’ll always find someone willing to offer you a lift on the team!
Interested in joining Phoenix?
Anyone is welcome to turn up and give the game a try, especially beginners. It is a great team sport to get involved in. Your first 3 training sessions are free, to allow you, to get a feel for the game. Just come along to any session. We do ask that you contact us via Facebook or Instagram prior to coming to your first training session, just so we know to look out for you.
